Alex Roberts represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, business disputes, employment disputes, personal injury, and professional liability matters. Alex received his J.D. in May 2006 from the University of Houston Law Center where he served as editor in chief of the Houston Law Review and received the Distinguished Service Award for his dedication to the Law Center. Before joining the firm, Alex served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal, United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Representative Cases
- Currently representing a Fortune 100 company in Harris County state court in an employment dispute brought by a former high-level executive.
- Currently representing a law firm in a legal malpractice action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas arising out of a copyright infringement action.
- Currently representing a major international law firm in a legal malpractice action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern of Louisiana arising out of a transaction for a Central American electrical power plant.
- Currently prosecuting a FINRA arbitration on behalf of an individual wrongfully terminated by his former brokerage firm.
- Currently representing an individual in a lawsuit in Houston federal court brought by a former neighbor over the sale of a multi-million dollar home alleging violations of the federal fair housing laws.
- First chair jury trial in June 2009 in a federal inmate abuse civil rights lawsuit. Secured favorable plaintiff’s jury verdict for pro bono client following three-day trial to uphold client’s constitutional rights.
- Assisted in obtaining complete jurisdictional dismissal of Middle Eastern client sued in Houston federal court following contentious international business dispute.
