Nakia Davis received her J.D. in 2006 from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where she received a merit scholarship and won the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Mock Trial Competition. Ms. Davis was also a quarter-finalist in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, and a member of the St. Thomas More Inn of Court.
Ms. Davis received a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1996, where she was awarded a full golf scholarship. Ms. Davis also was a recipient of the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship. She received her Masters in Business Administration from The University of New Orleans in 2003.
She also served as an intern to Justice George C. Hanks of the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas.
Ms. Davis is a former professional golfer, competing on the Duramed Futures Tour for four years. As a college golfer, she lettered four years at Vanderbilt, and was a 4-time Louisiana State Girls Golf Champion, and 2-time PGA Gulf States Section Champion.

Professional Highlights
- As second-chair attorney, tried case to verdict, securing a favorable outcome in a wrongful termination case tried in Montgomery, County, Texas, for a leading national distributor of food and paper products where the jury did not award any compensatory damages and awarded only minimal damages for lost wages to the plaintiff (January 2008).
- Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of all claims against clients, an oilfield construction and pipeline infrastructure management company, in District Court in Harris County, Texas, where plaintiff asserted claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and tortuous interference with business relations and prospective business relations, and was seeking recovery of more than $2 million dollars in damages (March 2008).
