2009 - The 3rd edition of Benchmark Litigation lists Beck, Redden & Secrest as a “highly recommended” litigation law firm in the state of Texas. 2009 - Texas Monthly recognizes David J. Beck as second top point getter in the Top 100 list of attorneys in the state of Texas in the 2009 edition of Texas Super Lawyers. Joining him on the top 100 list are Murray Fogler and David Gunn. All three, along with Joe Redden, Jr. were recognized in the top 100 list of attorneys in Houston. Beck and Fogler were also recognized in the practice area of Business Litigation; Gunn, Appellate and Redden, Civil Litigation Defense. Also making this year’s list were the following partners: Alistair Dawson, Business Litigation; Kat Gallagher, Civil Litigation Defense; Russell Post, Appellate and W. 2009 - David J. Beck was named Bet-The-Company Litigation 2009 Lawyer of the Year in Texas' Best Lawyers (see attached). He was also recognized for Commercial Litigation, Environmental Law, Legal Malpractice and Natural Resources Law. Additional BRS attorneys recognized were David Gunn – Appellate and Commercial Litigation; Murray Fogler - Bet-the-Company and Commercial Litigation; Russell Post – Appellate; and Fields Alexander – Products Liability Law.
2009 – Texas Super Lawyer names three BRS attorneys to the 2009 Rising Stars edition: Brad Coffey, General Litigation; Connie Pfeiffer, Appellate and Matthew Whitley, Business Litigation.
2009 - David M. Gunn has been chosen as a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. The Academy is a national association of appellate lawyers who have at least 15 years of practice. Membership is by invitation only (and is limited to 500 attorneys in the U.S.).
2009 – Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel edition recognizes David J. Beck and Alistair Dawson for Business Litigation.
2009 – Who’s Who of Product Liability Defence Lawyers 2009 recognizes attorneys David J. Beck and Joe Redden.
