Career Opportunities
Beck, Redden & Secrest, L.L.P. has an active recruiting program that identifies exceptional candidates including law students, recent law school graduates, attorneys completing judicial clerkships, for our Summer Associate programs and practicing attorneys who have an interest in moving laterally to the Firm.
On Campus
Recruiting
The Firm recruits at top law schools around the country. We are
always looking for bright, imaginative law students with excellent
academic skills who have a strong interest in litigation and who
are ready to assume responsibility in ongoing trial and arbitration
matters. Preference is given to students
in the top ten percent of their class, with law review, journal, and/or advocacy
experience. The firm encourages judicial clerkships.

Compensation & Benefits
The Firm offers a superior compensation package that is competitive with those
of the largest firms in Houston.
In addition to the annual salary, the Firm offers annual merit bonuses that are not tied to a lock-step program, but instead reflect the performance of the Firm overall and the individual’s contribution. The Firm pays professional fees and expenses including bar review courses and moving expenses, as well as numerous other benefits including health coverage and an excellent 401 and profit-sharing plan.
Business Practice
Despite the complex nature of our practice, the Firm strives to
maintain a "small-firm" atmosphere.
The Firm is not broken into teams or practice groups in which attorneys are required
to specialize in a particular facet of trial practice. Instead, trial teams of
attorneys and legal assistants are formed on a case-by-case basis. In this way,
all attorneys have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of matters and to
practice with all other attorneys in the Firm.
