Curt Webb, successfully defended a Fortune 500 client in a product liability case. The plaintiff, a 52-year- old male dying from lung cancer, claimed his illness was caused by an unreasonably dangerous and defective disposable respiratory protection device, provided by his employer, to protect him from exposure to silica dust. The plaintiff was demanding in excess of $9 million in damages. After three hours of deliberation, the jury found no negligence on the part of the defendant. The case was filed in the Eastern District in Missouri.
