BRS Successfully Defends Morgan Stanley & Co.
October 19, 2007October 18 - David Beck, Alistair Dawson and Michael Richardson recently obtained a summary judgment dismissing all claims against firm client Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated from Judge Halbach of the 333rd Judicial District Court of Harris County. The plaintiff had asserted claims against Morgan Stanley for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation and tortious interference with contractual relations and was seeking recovery of more than half a billion dollars in damages. Morgan Stanley was also represented by lawyers from Wilkie Farr & Gallagher in New York.
