Jury Awards Favorable Verdict for BRS Client
February 26, 2008Curt Webb and Andrea Paterson received a jury verdict late December for firm client South Texas Electric Co-Operative for a breach of contract and breach of warranty lawsuit regarding the purchase and installment of a defective steam turbine manufactured and installed by Dresser-Rand Company. The lawsuit was tried in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Victoria Division. A motion for entry of judgment as well as a motion for attorney's fees for a combined total in excess of $1.1 million are currently pending with the court.
