Top 10 Verdict From 2007 Upheld on Appeal
September 21, 2009On July 28, 2009, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued an opinion upholding a jury verdict of more than $30 million in favor of our clients. The appeal, "Miller v. Gorski Wladyslaw Estate," involved a catastrophic collision near Lafayette, Louisiana. The case was tried in Louisiana federal court in 2007, resulting in a verdict that National Law Journal ranked among the top 10 verdicts of the year. BRS appellate partner Russell Post participated in the trial and acted as lead appellate counsel in the Fifth Circuit. (Opinion attached)
