Victory On Appeal
April 12, 2010The Corpus Christi Court of Appeals recently ruled in favor of the Firm’s client in a wrongful death case. On April 1, 2010, the appellate court handed down an opinion upholding the jury’s verdict. The case (ALZA Corp. v. Thompson) involves a fatality and a product liability claim. The jury found for the wrongful death claimant, and the appellate court upheld the verdict.
Beck Redden partner David Gunn presented the oral argument. He worked on the briefing with his appellate colleague Erin Huber, and in collaboration with the trial team. The trial team involved Houston attorneys Tommy Fibich, Fletch Trammell, and Sara Fendia. (opinion attached)
