First-Year Associate Marcos Rosales Wins First Jury Trial
February 4, 2011On February 2, 2011, Marcos Rosales (who, having been licensed in November 2010, is the newest associate at the Firm) served as lead counsel in a jury trial before the Honorable Larry Weiman in the 80th District Court in Houston. Rosales, along with second-chair Geoff Gannaway and appellate attorney Connie Pfeiffer, obtained a plaintiff’s verdict in a personal property and contract dispute. The jury found in favor of the Firm’s client on the issues of conversion of personal property and breach-of-contract, and awarded punitive damages after finding the defendant acted with malice. The jury also rendered a take-nothing verdict as to the defendant’s counterclaim.
