Appellate Litigation
The BRS Appellate Section practices primarily in the Texas Supreme Court, the Texas intermediate appellate courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Our appellate lawyers have clerked for the Texas Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and several of the Texas intermediate appellate courts, giving them an intimate and varied perspective on appellate decision making.
Our appellate lawyers handle all appeals generated by the firm’s varied litigation practice and regularly collaborate with our litigators on complex litigation strategy, preparation of the jury charge, and preservation of error at trial. In addition, our appellate lawyers are often hired directly by corporate clients or by lawyers from other law firms to handle appeals in a wide range of substantive areas. As a result of this broad experience, our appellate lawyers have
participated in hundreds of appeals involving virtually every aspect of civil law.
